Apprenticeship

This program is designed to bring new real estate appraisers into the appraisal industry. Most areas have reported a shortage of licensed appraisers. Thus, the need for more real estate appraisers is ever increasing.

An applicant or trainee is allowed to pursue the state appraiser license and a designation from the National Society of Real Estate Appraisers, Inc. simultaneously.

The mentor will provide guidance to the trainee to include field training, data selections, data analysis, report preparation, presentation and client relations.

To participate in the program, the trainee must have the following criteria:
1 Complete the application. - Please note:mentoring program on application
2 Be at least 18 years old
3 Be able to pass the necessary courses required by the respective states and NSREA
4 Have dependable transportation
5 Have computer skills
6 Be accepted by the home state as an official trainee
7 Be accepted by NSREA as a candidate member
8 Be willing to satisfy all requirements within a 2-year period or less
The mentor must satisfy the following criteria:
1 Be in good standing with the home state.
2 Be in good standing with NSREA.
3 Be willing to train and guide the trainee through the licensing and designation process estimated @ 2-years
4 Compensate trainee on an as-agreed basis.
5 Provide status reports as required by program coordinator
